Bramhall Resident to Run Marathon

Local Bramhall resident and cricketer Rupes Kitzinger is running the Virgin London Marathon in April 2016 to raise funds for the Lords Taverners. At over 6’8” tall, Rupes is not a natural runner but can often been seen running the streets of Bramhall and the local parkruns.
The Lord’s Taverners are cricket’s biggest charity and aim to give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance.
Rupes plays and coaches cricket for Bramhall CC on Church Lane as well as representing Dorset CCC and the MCC.

”I am humbled to have been asked to ‘captain’ the Lord’s Taverner’s Marathon team this year and as a result I am aiming to break the £2100 fundraising target for such a worthy and fulfilling cause. Thank you to everyone for your support and particularly the Village Square for giving me an opportunity to collect from my neighbours around Bramhall”.

Rupes will be collecting on Saturday 19th December in the Village Square, Bramhall. Please give generously if you are passing. Rupes is also looking for businesses to match the sponsorships donated and his page can be seen at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/rupertkitzinger1
